ArtSpring Newsletter October 19, 2020
Dear Friends,
A couple of weekends ago I attended Judy Weeden’s gallery sale (and Bob’s apples), The Spinners’ & Weavers’ Sale, Anthony Matthew’s art collection exhibit, and then had lunch at the Vesuvius Seaside Restaurant…all in one day! I was grateful for having that art filled day. I recently asked staff here at ArtSpring about their favourite places to shop, you know…where you go when you really want to treat yourself. Meghan’s was Twang & Pearl, Malcolm’s Fraser’s Thimble Farms, Erin’s Blackburn Mall, and mine…Jane Stafford Textiles. We are an eclectic group.
The Limerick Project book is coming along – it will have all 78 submissions, some wonderful artwork, and a lovely foreword by Bob Weeden. We are really looking forward to seeing it. Please connect with the Salt Spring Foundation to get your copy.
With all best wishes,
Cicela Månsson

A few weeks ago someone sent me a quote of Dr. Aisha Ahmad through Twitter. I spent some time looking her up and figuring out the background from which she composed this comforting statement. What I found was a very interesting Canadian, with a remarkable background. The Six Month Mark: Its time to adapt again – by Dr. Aisha Ahmad, International Security professor at the University of Toronto.
