Jade Bell and a collective of the island’s most gifted musicians break out into the spring with the birth of Jade’s second album War Stained Skin, and the initiative of a new program for youth in the Gulf Islands. The intention is to aid creative empowerment and help kids steer clear of drugs through a music recording and mentorship program. Jade is an overdose survivor himself. Wheelchair bound, mute and blind, he knows all too well the temptation and dangers of drugs.
The concert is a fundraiser with a silent auction full of generously donated gifts from local businesses. The entertainment will feature local musicians connecting with Jade’s words, expression and art, bringing them to life in song. The hope is that the community will come, share in the celebration, and give generously, in whatever ways they can to help Jade help our youth to find empowering ways to express themselves.
*Ticket purchases include a 3 song EP of Jade’s 3rd album Black Swan.
