The Salt Spring Film Festival is proud to present the film “Sing Your Song,” a journey through the life, work and conscience of world-famous singer and activist, Harry Belafonte. Belafonte has played a role in nearly every political and social movement since his days as a supporter of the Civil Rights Movement and confidant of Martin Luther King Jr. Critics have called “Sing Your Song” “a quiet, beautiful song of protest from a man who is still trying to change the world.” Its cast ranges from Paul Newman to Nelson Mandela to J. Edgar Hoover.
