Uncle Wiggly’s Hot Shoes Blues Band was formed in Victoria in 1978. To this day, they continue to write, record and tour. They are members of the Victoria Music Hall of Fame. They are former RCA Recording Artists.

Big Hank Lionhart (Uncle Wiggly) had this idea for a Special Blues Christmas Show about 30 years ago…And finally three years ago in Edmonton the idea became a reality and he put together the show with his hand A Fist Full of Blues. They did two successful years of the show in Edmonton and two years ago Big Hank brought the show to Victoria with Uncle Wiggly’s Hot Shoes Blues Band.

The show features many Special Guests.

The songs were researched by Hank over a few months and the result is this two-hour show…of a fabulous look at the great songs that were written and recorded by Legendary Blues Artists such as Blind Blake, Louis Jordan, Big Joe Turner, BB King, Etta James, Koko Taylor and a host of others.

We received standing ovations at each and every one of 9 shows last season. We are pleased and delighted to be coming back to the ArtSpring Theatre again this year.
