The Unseen Island is an ambitious exhibition of new work by three Salt Spring Island artists, Eli Horn, James K-M and Denise Okan, September 5 – 21, 2025.

Opening Friday, Sept. 5th, 6 – 8 PM, we will also introduce The Indefinite Threeatre Performance Art Company. This is an exhibition about the poetic, unseen and simple, and how the poetic can choose its time and place to reveal itself. Island life can be just such an experience.

The exhibition will acknowledge the experiential, poetic, unseen and simple through photography, painting, sculpture and video. An artist and curator panel will take place in the gallery, Saturday, September, 13th, 1:30 – 3:30 PM.

Curator and artist Juan Carlos Rodríguez Valdés will be in attendance from Pinar del Rio, Cuba where all three artists were recently included in Complicit Landscapes, as part of the 2025 Havana Biennial.
