Salt Spring Island Painters Guild – Workshop and Drawing Show

Our annual show in the lobby of ArtSpring is an opportunity for the Painters Guild members to show artwork that was initiated during workshops, collaborative activities, (e.g. DVD workshops), drawing sessions hosted by the Guild, and other instructional venues. All paintings are originals, have never before been shown, and are for sale.

Mind Escape (acrylic) was created by Nora Layard in a session that started with a DVD by Virginia Cobb. The artist demonstrated her techniques to get out of the left side of her brain and into her artistic mind. These techniques included using squeegies, rollers, and finger painting. What fun!
