Each year The Dance Centre selects a handful of exciting young Vancouver choreographers, gives them free studio space and mentorship from established dance professionals, and lets them loose to explore new ideas while creating a short, innovative work lasting no more than 12 minutes. The best five of over a dozen projects during the year are presented in June at the Scotiabank Dance Centre. For the first time ever, ArtSpring brings a performance of these juried works to our stage. See what’s new and wonderful in BC contemporary dance.
