Susan Benson‘s interest in people has found expression over the years both interwoven in her theatre designs and with portraiture of different forms. Through her work she seeks ways to convey her thoughts about who people are and sometimes the nature of their situation. In some cases, she invites the viewer to find their own interpretation of the painting or drawing. Her work in the ArtSpring lobby exhibit includes oil paintings of people on Salt Spring Island as well as figurative pieces in charcoal and graphite.
*Please note the exhibit is open weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
