ArtSpring Newsletter – What’s On April 2022

I want to thank the community for the recent, overwhelming support of our extension to the face mask requirement. We’ll be updating you again soon as we head towards the province’s proof of vaccination end date of April 8.

This month ArtSpring welcomes musical artists from near and far, both geographically and musically. We bring you performances of contemporary Canadian folk and roots music, and a recreated songbook from the Spanish renaissance. And a visiting theatre company goes even further back, with a full stage production about Cleopatra’s time in exile.

As I get to know the island, I’m taking great pleasure in discovering the diverse local artists and craftspeople, and so it will be a treat to have five of the guild groups all exhibiting under one roof over the Easter weekend. And you also have an additional month to enjoy the lobby exhibition from one of those guilds – the Salt Spring Painters.

I hope you can join us for wonderful live performance, and beautiful art.
With thanks,
Howard R Jang
