GISS Theatre’s production of Peter and the Starcatcher: Before Wendy, Tinker Bell or Captain Hook – there was the Neverland, a slow ship (and long in the poop), on its way to the magical kingdom of Rundoon. Aboard is 13 year old Molly Aster, three filthy orphans and a trunk full of magical starstuff, all being pursued by a second ship full of tyrannical pirates.
Through devilish seas, amidst tropical kings, Molly forms a friendship with a nameless orphan boy that will come to change her life forever. Along the way we meet mermaids, savages, Lords appointed by the Queen and with the help of a crew of seafaring salt junkies, we find the simple sailing becomes a perilous adventure.
Join us as we ask the audience to use their thoughts, hoist the sails, and deck the ships awaiting them as together we embark on an unforgettable journey to learn some valuable lessons about being a leader, saving the world, growing up a little, and finding a home. Peter and the Starcather has something for the whole family, and something the whole family wouldn’t want to miss.
