Dear Friends,

Happy long weekend! I hope you are enjoying a lovely day of rest.

Canadian pianist – and regular visitor to ArtSpring – Janina Fialkowska celebrated her 70th birthday on May 7, 2021. In response to the overwhelming outpouring of birthday wishes from around the globe, Janina extends her gratitude with this 25 minute recital of four pieces by Chopin, Weber, and Debussy. Discovered by the legendary Arthur Rubinstein in 1974, she was his final student and prodigy.

With thanks,
Cicela Månsson
Executive & Artistic Director, ArtSpring

Dylan Thomas Day

I found this performance interesting because of the pacing and inflection.

Michael Sheen performing Do not go gentle into that good night for Dylan Thomas Day on May 14 is everything you’d hope it to be.

Fundraising

We were sorry to hear that Thrifty Foods is discontinuing its Smile Card program in its current form. Thrifty’s has been a wonderful supporter to ArtSpring and Smile Cards made it really easy for our patrons to help with our fundraising. The program runs until June 15, so please continue to top up your card until then. After that date we’re able to apply for other community support programs. And let us know if you need a Smile Card – we’ll put one in the mail for you. email us>
