Two Great Summer Shows This Week at ArtSpring

Two great shows at ArtSpring this week we don’t want you to miss:

SARA MARREIROS TRIO Thursday, July 14  7:00pm  Thursday at 7:00pm is our annual outdoor concert on the back patio (or in the theatre if it should rain), co-presented with Frida’s Villa. Sara Marreiros is a fine singer from Victoria who, together with her band, explores Portuguese Fado traditions, mixed with Folk and Bossa influences. Salt Springers Sierra Lundy and Clay Upex will open the show. This annual outdoor concert has been a highlight of the summer for four years now, and it hasn’t rained yet. Tickets are only $15* now, or $18 if you wait till Thursday. (And of course $5 for all youth.)

URBAN FOLK QUARTET

Friday, July 15  8:00pm
Friday at 8:00 we get to hear one of the best folk bands in the United Kingdom. The Urban Folk Quartet has been wowing audiences on the other side of the Atlantic with their lively and original music from the four corners of the world, but with a strong Celtic influence. This is their first North
American tour, and they’re great.

Tickets are $17.50* ($5 for youth) though you can get a discount if you buy tickets to some of our other summer programmes at the same time.

Both these programmes coincide with the ArtSpring Treasure Fair, so you can bid on the ormolu chamber pot during the intermission.
