Singers of all ranges and abilities are invited to join VocaMe’s mezzo soprano Sigrid Hausen for a vocal workshop in the ArtSpring theatre. Workshop participants will develop their voices with the help of beautiful melodies from the Middle Ages. They will learn the art of medieval drone singing and will also sing mono and polyphonic literature such as Cantigas de Santa Maria, the compositions of Hildegard von Bingen, and more. This is a wonderful opportunity learn from an incredibly experienced and talented singer. The only prerequisites are curiosity and an eagerness to learn!

Sigrid Hausen sings with the early-music ensemble VocaMe as well as with the medieval ensembles Estampie (music from 1000-1400) and QNTAL (an independent-Medieval Pop Band). She has performed internationally for over twenty years with these ensembles and performs with VocaMe at ArtSpring on April 27th at 7:30pm.
