Come celebrate the holiday season and support our local foodbank with Viva Chorale’s annual holiday concert fundraiser!
This year the choir will sing carols interspersed with a lovely story from the UK: The Mousehole Cat. The tale follows the adventures of Mowzer the cat and her faithful human fisher, Tom Bawcock. This is a traditional story hailing from Cornwall, England. Every year to this day, the town of Mousehole celebrates this tale with a lantern festival and a seafood feast. This is a heartwarming story of bravery, courage and the desire to help. There will also be a sing along portion so you can join in the holiday music making – and there will be lots of holiday treats available too! Members of the foodbank will be present to write tax receipts for any donations.
Bring your sweet tooth, and your singing voice. All proceeds go to the foodbank. In addition to cash or cheques, food donations will also be gratefully accepted in support of our community!!
