To celebrate their 30th anniversary, Vancouver’s Vetta Chamber Players perform the Vivaldi’s ever popular Four Seasons and pair it with a work inspired by the sea and its seasons – a special commission composed by Vancouver’s own Jeffrey Ryan, in collaboration with Sahtu Dene and Coast Salish storyteller Rosemary Georgeson. Interspersed with the music, Georgeson will tell us stories around each season or time of year relating to her peoples’ life by and on the sea.
The performance features Salt Spring’s own violinist Joan Blackman, with Jennie Press and Carolyn Canfield Cole violins; Tawnya Popoff viola; Rebecca Wenham cello; Dylan Palmer bass; and Michael Jarvis harpsichord.
Proudly sponsored by Lyle & Susan Eide.
