Join world-renowned dancer and choreographer Crystal Pite for a special evening in the GISS Dance Studio. Pite will show clips from her works and talk with attendees about dance. Learn about the art form, about her philosophies of the body and communication, as well as how elements of theatre, dance, music and set design inform her work.

Crystal Pite first started dancing with Ballet BC in 1988, then Ballet Frankfurt in 1996. Since her choreographic debut with Ballet BC, she has created amazing work throughout Canada and Europe, including three years as resident choreographer with Ballets Jazz de Montreal. Since 2002, she also created and performed under the banner of her own company Kidd Pivot. The award-winning company tours extensively around the world with productions including the stunning Tempest Replica (2011).
