Dr. Garry Rogers, a Senior Research Scientist at the Geological Survey of Canada who specializes in earthquake and tsunami studies, joins the Salt Spring Forum for an important evening on the science of earthquakes and tsunamis, and about what to do when they happen.
The event will begin with a short presentation by Rogers and then will be followed by a standard Forum-style discussion between the guest speaker and the audience. Bring the questions you’ve always wanted to ask!
Please note, SSI Emergency Services, SSI Fire Department, and SSI Search and Rescue will have information booths set up in the ArtSpring lobby prior to the 7:30 pm event.
*The Salt Spring Forum gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Province of British Columbia for its fall speakers series.
