

A vibrant and diverse showcase by local Indigenous and Métis artists, featuring traditional and contemporary expressions. Explore intricate beadwork in the Métis floral style, eco art prints made from natural materials, pyrography (wood burning), as well as acrylic and watercolor paintings that reflect personal and cultural stories. Sculptural pieces add a three-dimensional element to the show.
Featured artists include Sherry Leigh Williams and Patricia Rose Williams of the “Sisters Carrying Water ” show alongside several others whose work bridges tradition and innovation in beautiful, powerful ways.

INDIGENOUS PEOPLES WEEKEND
Sweetgrass Arts & Music in partnership with the ArtSpring Roundtable Committee is organizing two events in the ArtSpring Meadow on June 20 as an Opening Event for Indigenous Peoples Weekend.
Come witness and participate in a teepee raising and teaching with Métis elder Bruce Dumont followed by a kids puppet show by Métis elder Jo-ina Young. Both events are FREE.
