ArtSpring hosts the Annual January Lobby Show of the SaltSpring Photography Club from 6pm January 5, 2017 to 12:15pm, January 31, 2017. Open to all SSPhotography Club members, this show follows no stated theme or single idea. It is an opportunity to submit any image the photographer wants to exhibit, without the constraints of size or subject matter. This show does not offer an Opening Reception but invites viewers to wander through the public spaces in ArtSpring and enjoy the collection.

Some members submit their most unusual, most beautiful, most interesting or most technically challenged image of the preceding year. Some submit their most comical, studious, colorful or accomplished composition. Some simply submit their favorite image or one that caused deeper thought in themselves or their peers. Some images will be for sale, but that is not a requisite either.

“That’s what makes this particular show interesting and fun for everyone, the photographers and the viewing audience,” says Wendy Rosier, Club President. “We have wonderful, talented photographers, some with lots of experience, some with very little. This show is an opportunity for everyone, regardless of their technical expertise, to have their work seen and appreciated by everyone who walks through the Lobby of ArtSpring for whatever reason during the month of January.”
