Th-Ink!, the 2nd Islands Printmaking Biennale, is coming to ArtSpring for the month of April. The galleries will feature original, hand pulled prints by 65 artists from across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. The Lobby will show works by Gulf Islands Secondary School students as well as an introduction to the printmaking techniques used in the creation of the works in the show. Entries include linocuts, wood reduction prints, lithographs, etchings, monotypes, and more.

This is an opportunity to learn more about this centuries old art form.

Please join us for the opening reception on Sunday, April 5th, 1 to 3 pm, to meet the printmakers and celebrate the show!

Artists talks will be held Sunday, April 12th and 19th at 2 pm. On the 12th, Richard York will talk about his journey “In Pursuit of a Painterly Relief Print”. On the 19th a panel discussion will look at the future of printmaking!

And watch for impromptu demonstrations throughout the show!
