Here is an example of a work where the artist (Bernadette Mertens-McAllister) participated in the “Painting Challenge”. The guild members were invited to paint one painting per day for ten days, following a theme and medium of their choice.

What happens when talented amateur artists experiment together and learn new techniques? Come to the Salt Spring Island Painters Guild exhibit and find out! During the month of March in the ArtSpring lobby, the SSI Painters Guild exhibits new never-before-seen work created in classes and instructional settings.

The show will be open weekdays only from 9 am to 5 pm and during performances.
