The Salt Spring Forum presents Trevor Greene, a Canadian solider who was struck in the head with an axe in Afghanistan and whose hard-fought recovery has defied medical science and inspired brain-injury victims around the world.
Greene survived a massive brain injury that a doctor once claimed would leave him in a vegetative state. Years later with his devoted wife as an incredible support, he can speak as well as stand on his own and works daily towards walking. Greene is living proof that the brain can continue to heal and recover function years after sustaining damage, which is far longer than doctors once thought.
Retired solider, journalist and environmentalist Trevor Greene will join the Salt Spring Forum to discuss his incredible story.
The Salt Spring Forum is pleased to be partnering with the Salt Spring Island chapter of Voices of Women (VOW) in this event.
