The Salt Spring Forum is pleased to present Jim Sinclair, President of the B.C. Federation of Labour, to discuss unions and organized labour. The B.C. Federation of Labour represents 54 unions and 450,000 private and public sector employees – including hundreds of ferries, hydro, postal, hospital and school board employees on Salt Spring Island, as well as our firefighters, nurses and teachers.  Jim Sinclair has served as President of the B.C. Federation of Labour for 15 years. Prior to this, he worked in the fishing industry for 15 years, including eight years as President of the United Fishermen and Allied Workers’ Union.
