Long before the days of the Food Network, Graham Kerr leapt into the 1970s with his exuberant cooking show The Galloping Gourmet.
Now an expert in nutrition, healthy eating and the locavore movement, Graham Kerr joins the Salt Spring Forum for a wide-ranging conversation about all things food-related.
Kerr is an internationally renowned television personality and award-winning author. With his late wife, the poet Treena Kerr, he wrote 30 books (selling 14 million copies) and worked on 1,800 television shows. In 1995, he appeared in the PBS series Cooking in Concert with Julia Child.
Kerr’s current focus is helping people make healthy and creative lifestyle changes. He is also a passionate advocate for the individual’s role in climate change mitigation.
This event is a fundraiser for The Root, which is the SSI Farmland Trust’s innovative farm centre project.
