“I’m a musician whose work runs the gamut between the singer songwriter and experimental electronic music worlds. My work attempts to tie the past and present together by balancing wry, lyrical songwriting that references jazz, blues, folk and rock music, with nuanced modern sound design. Prior to relocating to Salt Spring in 2020, I taught workshops for teaching digital music and synthesisers to both youth and adults in very hands on, non intimidating way, aiming to remove the barriers for those who haven’t been traditionally welcomed in technical music spaces. Even before moving to Salt Spring, I had ties through my parents who have lived here for over a decade. In 2019, I preformed at a Salt Spring pride event at The Core. Since moving to Salt Spring in 2020, I took a break from performance after my child was born but kept up my deep love for music and collaborated with Salt Spring locals by soundtracking kid’s audio books for the island-based Magik Kids stories. I returned to stage last summer to be an opening act for Rae Spoon at the Not Dead Yet music festival hosted in Fulford.”
