Pieces of Her Story is an inspiring exhibit of literary, textile, storytelling and
mixed media art works by a group of Salt Spring women who have been guided for the
past year by creative mentor Ahava Shira, founder of the Centre for Loving Inquiry.

Friday, November 7, 5-7pm: Opening Reception in the gallery. Meet the artists of A Year to Love ™ and hear about their journeys of creative and compassionate self discovery!
Writing Alone Together book launch in the gallery on November 15 at 2pm. Join Ahava Shira and co-authors Wendy Judith Cutler and Lynda Monk for the launch of their highly anticipated new book Writing Alone Together: Journalling in a Circle of Women for Creativity, Compassion and Connection.
–Performance afternoon and Elizabeth May book reading in the theatre on November 16 at 1:00 pm, $15. Share an exhilarating afternoon of storytelling through film, dance, spoken word and poetry with the artists of A Year to Love and special guest speaker Canadian Green Party Leader Elizabeth May, reading from her latest book, Who We Are: Reflections on My Life and Canada—a memoir on her extraordinary life and personal approach to politics, policy, and what it means to be Canadian.
