This year marks the 14th presentation of Photosynthesis, a group show of work by 23 local photographers.

The group was formed in 1995, and has since become an island tradition. The annual summer exhibit has taken place at Artspring since 2001. Photosynthesis is made up of 25 permanent members who also invite 3- 4 guest photographers, and one student photographer to join the show each year.

The search for light and image creates an endless palette of possibilities, for those who are looking. And photographers are always looking.

This year’s opening reception is on August 22nd at 5:00 p.m. at ArtSpring. The show will run from August 23rd until September 9th with members of the show available each day to meet and discuss the work. For more information, visit www.photosyn.ca.
