This is an exhibit of 20 new large scale abstract expressionist paintings by Jeff Lederman. Chicago poet and author Margaret Sullivan have written poems exclusively to accompany every painting. Jeff’s name may be familiar to many of you as he is the founder of Salt Spring’s Island Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre. Margaret is new to the island. For 40 years she held a professorship in Consumer Psychology and Music at an arts college in Chicago and holds an MFA in Playwriting. This symbiotic pairing of visual art and poetry was introduced by Jeff and Margaret in 1978 at the Rizzoli Gallery in Chicago.
