This workshop, led by abstract painter Robert Steinbach, will appeal to the individual who wants to break out from a set way of painting and explore new painting methods and materials. Participants will experiment with a number of unusual tools for the application of acrylic paint including sponges, trowels and spatulas and other non-traditional items. They will also practice the difference between painting ‘wet’ and ‘dry’ on a selection of different surfaces. There will be plenty of time to work on a number of pieces and techniques during the two days. Ultimately, participants will have plenty of fun while learning to paint outside the lines!
The workshop will be facilitated by Robert Steinbach. Trained as an architect, abstract painter Steinbach has a unique way of seeing and envisioning that influences his paintings. He has taught workshops in Toronto, Michigan and California. For more information or to register contact Robert Steinbach at (250) 538-8502 or by email.
