Marta Marta Productions and Microcosmos Quartet, both from Vancouver, will be at ArtSpring collaborating on two projects during their weeklong creative residency. There are multiple opportunities to experience the work of these artists during their residency. They invite the public to watch and listen at their open rehearsals, which are from 12-1pm on the following dates: Sunday, August 17; Tuesday, August 19; Wednesday, August 20; and Thursday, August 21.

The group will be collaborating on two works for musicians and dancers based on the music of the great 20th century avant-garde Hungarian composer György Ligeti. The first piece is a rework of a Vancouver-premiered piece for four dancers and string quartet; the second a new work for cello and solo dancer. This is an amazing opportunity to witness the creative process in full force!
