Originally from Ralls, Texas, Marcus grew up immersed in the music and culture of the Gospel tradition.  He moved to Vancouver in 1985 and became a Canadian citizen in 2008. A much sought-after performer, Mosely has brought his infectious gospel sound to concerts around the globe.

In addition to the evening performance, in collaboration with Students for Racial Equity, Salt Spring Foundation of Youth, and the SS Historical Society, the Trio will present education through gospel music to the GISS students on February 20th & 21st . During this 2-day “deep dive” students will learn and perform Gospel music as an empowering force for transformative social change. The workshops will end with a student performance for Salt Spring Elementary students, staff, and parents.

Students will host a fundraising bake sale for the hour prior to the performance.

Profits from the Artspring performance are being donated to Students for Racial Equity by the Marcus Mosely Trio.
