Premiering in Vancouver in 2015, the award-winning Love Bomb is described as “a rock concert within a play – and a mystery on top of that.” A concert of emotion rips through main character Justine’s first performance in years and all because of one uninvited guest, her music takes on a life of its own.
Love Bomb takes an intimate and emotionally brave look at sex trafficking, an issue that impacts lives in Canada and around the world. As one audience member shared, “Love Bomb is a wonderful example of how theatre can have a powerful and positive impact. The play is an engaging, insightful story, and the music is great. We took our teenagers to see it because the message is important for them to hear. The play can be a lifesaver for vulnerable people. I would love every student in our province to see it.”
Book & lyrics by Meghan Gardiner | Directed by Reneé Iaci | Original songs by Steve Charles | Starring Daune Campbell (Lillian) and Melissa Kahan (Justine.)
