Reflections is a collection of photographic works amassed over the past quarter century. These images explore the varying temperatures of the sun’s refraction across the globe and are influenced by the deep tonality and colours of nature. People, place, colour, and space converge in these compositions to evoke a sense of atmosphere and emotion—each frame a quiet meditation on the interplay between light and the world it touches, revealing the poetic tension between stillness and movement, intimacy and vastness, shadow and illumination.

DANIELLE ACKEN is an award winning photographer and writer with a photo style born in the late punk era and honed over two decades behind the lens and pen. She currently splits her time between Vancouver BC, London UK, and her farm studio on Canada’s beautiful Salt Spring Island.
