We are very excited to announce that ArtSpring has been able to add a terrific young pianist to our programme this season. He is Jan Lisiecki, the winner of Gramophone Magazine’s prestigious Young Artist of the Year award in 2013 – when he was 18 years old. Lisiecki (pronounced “Lishetsky”), who comes from Calgary, is the first artist from North America to win the award.

Jan Lisiecki is truly an extraordinary talent. He is a prize-winner in seven international competitions in the US, Italy, England, and Japan. When he was 17, Deutsche Gramophone signed him to a five-year contract. He has already released three highly acclaimed recordings – his Chopin Etudes were nominated for a Juno award – and he plays solo recitals and with major orchestras around the world.
