On Sunday, February 12th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, Jennifer Mascall from MascallDance offers a special workshop for Valentine’s…and not just for dancers.
Jennifer Mascall has been coming to Salt Spring since the early 1980s, both as a performer and a teacher. Her company, MascallDance, has previously presented Traces of Emily Carr at ArtSpring, and on February 11 will perform The Outliner.
In this workshop, Jennifer will focus on experimental anatomy with a focus on Body-Mind Centering, movement and voice exploring the heart system, including the arterial and venous systems, through the power and connection of the Tango walk.
Since it will soon be Valentines Day, bring a loved one – whether it be your lover, your best friend, or your performance partner.

Biography: Jennifer Mascall is a dance choreographer, teacher, mentor and an advocate for the dance art form. She and her nearly 200 choreographies have received many awards. Most recently, she has been honoured by the 2015 Isadora Award for her Outstanding Contribution to Dance in BC. Jennifer is the Founding Artistic Director of MascallDance, established in 1982.
