The Gulf Islands School of Performing Arts (GISPA) proudly presents The Little Prince, Adapted from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s classic novel. The Little Prince upholds GISPA’s signature fusion of music, dance, and theatre with a retelling of this childhood story of wonder and possibility, and the indictment of adult priorities that hasten the loss of that wonder. Featuring student-created choreography, composition and ensemble acting, The Little Prince is not to be missed!
The Little Prince is the story of the Aviator’s exploration of the desert, accompanied by a young prince who symbolizes all that the Aviator stands for. The Little Prince tells stories of fantastical worlds he has explored while on his journey to earth. GISPA students have collectively created, composed, choreographed and developed The Little Prince, using music, dance, and theatre to weave together themes of wonder, imagination, and the loss of creativity, amid a story of innocence and beauty.
The talented GISPA students produced, choreographed and composed music for The Little Prince under the direction of Jason Donaldson (theatre), Sonia Langer (dance), and Michelle Footz (music).
