George Ehring conducts the final of his legendary classical music appreciation courses this spring before returning to retirement forevermore. Be sure to seize the opportunity to enroll in this exciting five-week course – The Anatomy of Music.

The course covers the familiar mix of classical music examples, social history, art, the occasional odd character, and George’s unpredictable meanderings. Additionally, it looks at the evolution of musical styles, the physics of music, how our bodies hear music, and how our brains interpret it. You’ll hear a few different recordings of artists performing the same piece of music or different arrangements of the same piece. The course includes recorded music and video clips, including some that are old and rare.

This is your chance to listen to music that may be familiar, be introduced to some composers you’re unlikely to know (but will like!), learn some social history, and have some fun. Complimentary coffee, tea and cookies will be served at intermission. Every evening someone will win a prize worth the price of admission.
