Join Ulrieke Benner for an inspirational workshop of play and fun with wool and sheer fabrics in Nuno Collage and 3-D Surface Structure. Participants will work with inspiring fabrics and lots of coloured wool to assemble and incorporate dyed, painted or printed silks and other fabrics into wonderful works of art to wear.
Day One is an introduction to aspects of nuno collage techniques. This will result in the creation of your own neckpiece. On Day Two the techniques from the previous day are combined with 3-D fabric manipulation. Plastic resists are used to create folds, pleats, ripples and embed solid materials for texture and dimension. On Day Three you will bring your experiences together and create your own design for a shawl or fabric yardage. This involves artistic play and challenge.
This workshop allows for a maximum of eight participants, so you receive lots of specific and individual attention and support for each of your projects.
