This month’s lobby art exhibit is Dessert Dreams, paintings by Patricia Brown that celebrate cycles and passages. In this show, Brown displays three new series: “Taos Pueblo”, “Doorways of India” and “Antelope Canyon”. These pieces are all egg tempera paintings, some on paper and some on gessoed fabric on board. All represent transition since central to Brown’s work is the idea that to be alive is to be in motion. There are also other pieces contained in the show where haiku is explored.
