Jennifer Mascall, Artistic Director of MascallDance, returns to Salt Spring to teach a five-day workshop called Dance and Impulse: Making Dances in the Moment.

This experiential anatomy workshop with a focus on Body Mind Centering® is suitable for any body at any level of somatic experience. The anatomical work serves as a tool for creation and improvisation through its possibility for going deeply into parts of your body – you will source places where impulse and instinct clarify the choices made outwardly when you dance.

Throughout the workshop we will improvise using dance, movement, art, written word, and speech as modes of expression. Friends, colleagues and family will be invited to ArtSpring on the last day – Friday, September 2nd at noon – to watch the fascinating analysis of where we move from and how we can see from where another person moves.
