Yanjinzi Gao, the Artistic Director of the Bejing Modern Dance Company and the co-creator of Wen Wei Dance’s show Made in China, teaches a dance workshop open to all levels of dancers. This workshop incorporates various styles and forms including elements of Tai Chi, martial arts, Peking opera and ballet techniques. Through improvisation, breathing and release techniques each participant will find their own unique movements to express meaning.

Wen Wei was originally scheduled to teach the workshop but due to unforeseen circumstances, Yanjinzi Gao will now run the workshop. Yanjinzi Gao performs on Friday, February 13th in Make in China with Wen Wei Dance, a company that returns to ArtSpring for its third time. The company previously performed the hit shows Cockpit and Unbound at ArtSpring.
