Cirkus Surreal is an award-winning youth acrobatic troupe based in Australia that will perform at ArtSpring on their 2014 International Tour. Expect anything from juggling, acrobatic floorwork, balancing, tumbling and even unicycling. Cirkus Surreal also works on the trapeze, with silks and aerial hoops, and performs magic, so we’re in for a real treat!

Before coming to Salt Spring, the eighteen performers and six crew members will go to Las Vegas to visit with their mentors Cirque Du Soleil. They’ll then bring us Vignettes of Me, a show they have been preparing for many months which is about the emotions of growing up. Each vignette allows the audience a very personal connection to the performer as they express issues of anxiety, love, adversity, identity, friendship and resilience.
