Lobby Art Exhibition
September 1-24th, 2018
Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm
I photograph people in their environments because I am curious of what lays behind their eyes, where they have been and where they hope to go. My choice of subject comes from my interest in ideas about beauty, and emotional connections. I enjoy finding photographs that capture candid moments. I use photography as a means of self-expression – I make pictures for myself, to identify with hidden qualities of my character, to better understand my reality, and to express my interpretation of the world around me. A clearer understanding of myself and of my world allow me to explore fragments of life, and also to interact with people I would otherwise not be able to engage with.
The images you are viewing have only numbers as titles. My hope is that each image will present a story to your eyes. Therefore each viewer may have a different story, perhaps. I believe that placing a title on an image diminishes or restricts the emergence of a more intimate story—your eyes, your emotions—your story.
I’ve been a street photographer for seven years, and this is my fourth exhibition.
