Salt Spring Chamber Choir and Orchestra (aka Bach on the Rock) proudly celebrate their 10th anniversary with a glorious performance of J. S. Bach’s masterpiece The Christmas Oratorio. Here is what the group says about their upcoming concert:

“We began life as a small project choir bolstered by a few instrumentalists in order to fulfill a wish by Carol Brown to see the “Christmas O” come to life here on Salt Spring. January 6th, 2005 saw Part 1 performed in Carol’s living room, to a small audience of family and friends. As the years went by, we tackled many other masterworks and grew. January 6th, 2009 marked a milestone with the performance at ArtSpring of the complete Christmas Oratorio under the direction of Jim Stubbs. And now, on January 6th, 2015 we invite you to join us for a celebration with this wonderful choir and orchestra playing the magnificent music of J.S. Bach under our Music Director, Jim Stubbs.”
