ArtSpring, with the generous support of Country Grocer, is pleased to be able to offer our first ArtSpring Youth Art Enrichment Program of 2016. This workshop takes place during the month of January and is led by W. Allan Hancock, who is an accomplished wildlife artist on Salt Spring Island. The students will explore drawing and sketching on a variety of papers using charcoal, pencil and conté. Working from both their imaginations and sketching objects around them, they will learn the fundamentals of lines, shading, depth and using white space in their drawing.

The work produced by this talented group of students will be on display in a special gallery exhibit that is open to the public. Join us for an afternoon reception on January 30th from 1:00pm – 2:30pm.
