As part of the PRIDE ALL YEAR celebrations, DAISSI is hosting its 10th event – a cozy, romantic and inspirational evening of poetry, poetry read by you (or others), poetry which is meaningful to you, poetry which has inspired you.
We ask that the poems you choose be written by others, not yourselves – for example, Bill is going to read a 700-year-old poem written by Hafiz, the Persian Mystic, which begins…
“It happens all the time in heaven…that men and men who are Lovers…and women and women who give each other Light…Often will get down on their knees…and while so tenderly holding their lover’s hand…”.
If you don’t have a poem to read but want to be part of a lovely evening, please join us.
If you have more than one poem you would like to read, by all means bring them.
If you wish to have someone else read your chosen poem that will definitely happen.
