ArtSpring Newsletter August 24, 2020
Dear Friends,
We hoped to have more new season details for you this week, but our best laid plans at times go askew. Contracts are still pending for some artists, but what I can tell you about our season is that we will open with Valdy for three performances, October 2, 3, and 4. Hoorah! We are also looking forward to presenting Jeffrey Renn in At Your Service – The Life and Yarns of Robert Service part 1 on November 6, 7, and 8.
The challenges in putting together a season this year were significant and what we’ve come up with will be a little different. We’ve managed to include music, theatre, as well as dance – and we’ve added some elements that we hope will be helpful to artists during this time. ArtSpring is going to be assisting performing artists in their creative process by helping produce new work with the extension of the Creative/Technical Residency Program in January. This program will offer theatre space and mentorship to help artists create new work, refine existing work, and be tour ready for the 2021-22 season. We are also making the theatre more financially accessible for our community rental clients given the current limited seating capacity.
Did you purchase your yearly membership? Renew or purchase your ArtSpring membership before the end of August and receive 5% off of ArtSpring Presents tickets during the 2020-21 season.
With all best wishes,
