A phenomenal community comes together each year to exemplify a passion for arts & culture thriving on Salt Spring Island, Treasure Fair – an entirely community supported fundraiser secures the future for Salt Spring’s largest theatre, gallery and artist workspace.
Tours, trips and treasures are of the many generous beloved items the fundraiser happily receives. Donated items accepted range from handcrafted works, collectibles, like-new home items, décor and furniture, prized possessions ready for another to cherish or, a B&B stay, massage, cooking lessons, adventure tours, tree pruning, dance classes and more.
Since Robert Bateman opened ArtSpring in 1999, it’s been the “arts and culture soul” of Salt Spring Island and operates an 11,800 square-foot, two-level heavy timber structure boasting a 5,200-square-foot exhibition/ multi- purpose area and a 6,600-square-foot, 265-seat theatre, which is no simple feat.
And, now ArtSpring needs your help.
“Every year I’m amazed at the kindness and generosity of community members who give beloved treasures and gifts of experience to ArtSpring for this hugely important event. We couldn’t operate without them.” ArtSpring Executive and Artistic Director, Cicela Masson
