ArtSpring Art Auction
Sealed Bids
Five wonderful pieces of art will be sold through a sealed bid auction, one piece at a time from September 2011 until April 2012.

How does it work?
The art on display will be sold to the highest bidder.
- Simply fill out the bid slip and place it in the secure box near the art. Or, you may buy any piece immediately by paying the ‘Buy it Now’ price at the ArtSpring ticket centre.
- Take note of the auction closing date on the sign attached to the display.
- Your bid is a binding agreement to purchase the art at the amount you bid on it (plus shipping, if applicable).
- If you are the highest bidder, a volunteer will contact you to arrange payment.
- If ArtSpring is unable to reach the highest bidder after seven days, we will accept the second highest bid.

Kiff has a gift for making the ordinary extraordinary, the familiar fascinating. His passion for translating his observations into art; his ability to see beauty in the fabric of everyday life; and his intimate knowledge of the effects and power of light have led to a large and diverse body of work. Works by Kiff Holland are held in collections around the world.
Kiff Holland is one of the West Coast’s finest artists. He has received numerous awards for his work from the Federation of Canadian artists, the Northwest Watercolour Society, and the American Watercolour Society. Kiff has exhibited with the British Institute of Painters in Watercolour and the Royal Society of British Artists and is a signature member of the American Watercolour Society, a Distinction held by few Canadian artists.

Morley Myers carved this sensuous multi-faceted 15” x 8” x 13” sculpture from Zuni Alabaster. It was donated by the artist and is valued at $2,500. Buy it Now price: $3000.
Morley Myers is a local Salt Spring artist who has been working in stone since 1991. He has a unique blend of cross-cultural primitive imagery. He has been involved with exhibits on the west coast and displayed in galleries in New York City, Vancouver, Victoria, Tofino, Salt Spring Island, Calgary, Winnipeg and Medicine Hat. Myer’s work is found in numerous collections in North America. You can see his work at his gallery in Merchant Mews.

This beautiful painting of a white Romneya Poppy was done in oil on linen by renowned Salt Spring Island artist, Florence Roberge. The 36” x 24” framed painting was donated by the artist and is valued at $2000. Buy it Now price: $2400.
Florence has enjoyed diverse careers as a social worker, lawyer and artist. Now mainly concentrating on painting still life, her work has been purchased by private collectors across North America, Europe, and Australia. Her work is included in several public collections including the Burnaby Art Gallery and St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation in Vancouver, B.C.
