If you are familiar with ArtSpring, you’ll be at this year’s Treasure Fair. If you’ve been meaning to experience the island’s cultural hub, you need to mark these dates in your calendar: July 19, 20, and 21. Do it now. I’ll wait.
Why? Because the weekend has something for everyone – art, music, laughs, great people, and yes . . . shopping! Bring the whole family and get to know what ArtSpring offers you and your community.
Treasures up for auction all weekend (silently)
Browse and bid all 3 days from 10 am – 5 pm. The building is transformed into a shopper’s heaven by the talented volunteers who wrangle the hundreds of donations your fellow islanders generously donate. Wander in and be impressed by the quality, diversity, and volume of goods that are on display and up for auction. You have to see it to believe it. Then . . .
Concert on Friday
Come for a drink at 6:30 pm and then brace yourself for the world-renowned Daniel Lapp & friends that takes to the stage at 7:30 pm. You’ve never seen fiddling like this. There isn’t another level of ENERGETIC! Someone who was at the concert last year said they saw smoke when Daniel was in peak frenzy.

Treasures up for auction on Saturday (not so silently)
We keep several gems for the capstone event of the weekend: the live auction Saturday evening from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Here’s a sampling to tempt you . . . a condo in Maui for a week, 3 nights and opera tickets in Victoria, dessert for a year, a day cruise, some fine art and more. Come for drinks and snacks at 5:00 pm and then enjoy the talented and spirited Chris Humphreys (accomplished author, actor, funny man) as auctioneer. You’ll want to bid on Chris – he’s that entertaining!
Come help us celebrate Treasure Fair’s 18th year! There isn’t a better time to get to know and support the arts centre that means so much to our community. The dozens of enthusiastic volunteers who make this event happen will be on hand to greet you, show you around, and share their enthusiasm for Treasure Fair and ArtSpring in general. It’s sure to be a great weekend. See you then!
